THE HAIRCUTS

With the obvious fact that my hair started falling out today, I knew the "shave" would have to be in the next day or so. Due to schedules, the best time ended up being tonight.

My son, Jake, had already made the decision to have his head buzzed to show his support for me and having to do it. He wanted to go first as encouragement to me. As long as I could delay this for me sounded good, but soon enough, it was my turn.Having Don do it and being surrounded by him and my kids (Jake's girlfriend, Hollee, was there, too. She's one of the family.) made it a lot easier than I could have imagined.

Before I knew it, my hair was gone. I actually felt lighter and a bit relieved. I spent so much time thinking about it - what I would look like, if I could handle the look, what my family would think, etc. And now I'm on the other side of it and I just need to get used to it and work through the feelings that I now have.

Thank you, family, for being so supportive and Jake, for cutting your hair and sporting a buzz cut for me. You all made a really difficult chore easier for me.

losing your hair made your smile and eyes even more beautiful!!

you're not the first lady I've said this too...maybe we should all cut it off short every now and again!!

sides....hair's overrated! ;-)

oh, and warning....I've knew a lady on her FOURTH head of hair....she said every time it was a little different when it grew back...different color or different texture or something...so here's to a new look for you and another new look yet to come!! :-)

Your hair does not define you and you look beautiful.
Think how "cool" you will be this summer without all that hair. Cute son, and how sweet of him to support you in that way!

My husband, Don too, let his beard grow in support of me losing mine. I was so glad to get my hair back so he could shave...I didnt like his "look" him with a beard.

Look at your smile...it glows and so do you. It is your spirit, and the Holy Spirit shining through...and hair, or anything else wont stop that from shining through. Keep shining and living Diane. You will look back some day and think that it wasn't all bad. :)
