WAITING

Four days after the surgery. First day I left the house.

It felt good to get out and interact with the world again, even though I was slightly uncomfortable. I’m healing, but still sore. Wearing a normal bra makes me feel more normal, and for that, I am thankful.

I was supposed to hear from my surgeon today, letting me know the results of the pathology reports on the lump and lymph nodes. I waited all day. I finally called around 3:30 and they informed me they hadn’t received them yet and it will probably be tomorrow before they do get them and are able to give me the information.

I’m not a very patient person. I don’t like waiting. And waiting for such important news all day long only to find out I have to keep waiting makes me annoyed, and nervous, …and scared.
