I was on Facebook this earlier and came across this on a friend’s page. It’s a FB app[lication] that gives you a daily devotion under the description of what God wants you to know each day. I have it on my page, but to be honest, I don’t always read it.
But this one caught my eye because it was on faith and I was sitting there waiting to hear from the surgeon on my test results. I had been waiting since yesterday with no word and found out that I would probably be waiting until tomorrow (Thursday). I was going a little crazy and my optimism and faith were starting to dwindle.
On this day, God wants you to know…… that faith is exactly what it takes to get through uncertainty. Faith is not necessary when you know how things are going to work out, - that’s knowledge. It’s in the time of unknowing that having faith is what sees you through to the other side. Faith is what gives… you strength. Faith is that light in your heart that keeps on shining even when it’s all darkness outside. Now is the time to keep that faith alive!
As I read this, I thought wow!, maybe God really was trying to let me know what He wanted me to know for today. But when I clicked on my message for the day, I was in even more of a shock.
I know it’s too little to read but I had to save the image so anyone reading would know that it was legit. It says, “On this day of your life, Diana, we believe God wants you to know… that all is well.” It goes on to say, “All is going according to plan. Trust that there is a bigger picture. Trust that life is unfolding as it should.”
Now, many would just chalk these messages up to coincidence, but they gave me great comfort during a very stressful time, and I figure that God can use whatever means He wants to get a message to me - even a Facebook app.
